The house is in an incredible location, with an excellent view of the sea. It is extremely comfortable, with great beds, a lot of comfy seating, and a well-equipped kitchen. One of our party was using the house as a base while they walked part of the South-West Coast Path, and it was a great location for doing that. The beaches were beautiful and there was a beachside sauna a couple of minutes away from the house, which we made use of while we were there. Communication was excellent - clear, helpful and friendly and we were sent an extensive list of local places to eat and things to do before we arrived, which was really helpful. Helen. April, 2024
The location is everything for Cowrie, and the kitchen was well labelled and well equipped. The number of loos and showers was also fabulous for warming up after a surf in the sea. V well equipped property. Would love to stay there again! Ollie White. March, 2024

We loved the location and views from the house, it was well equipped and comfortable. The house itself apart from the kitchen and bathrooms needs further refurbishment, furnishings and carpets are old and theres a slight musty, mouldy smell in some of the rooms. That said we had a lovely stay and was a blissful break after months of lockdown life! West Country Beach Holidays were great, Ros could'nt have been more helpful, would highly recommend. We love the outside hot shower. It helps to wash the sand away from the wet suits after swimming too to keep the house cleaner. A clock would be great in the kitchen and/or lounge. Rosemary. Aug, 2020

We really enjoyed staying in Cowrie, a beautiful cottage in an outstanding location. Right next to the main surfing beach with a wonderful cliff garden and private access to the small cove. Such a nice place to stay. Clean, tidy and people on hand to help with anything. Loved it. The location is magnificent, right by the path to the baby bay Polzeath. The gardens are fantastic too.
